After designing the menu for Asador Etxebarri, the Mendesaltaren team embarks on a journey to Bizkaia to visit the restaurant and experience what this iconic place has to offer.

The music accompanies the short documentary showcasing the surroundings of the grill, nature, materials, animals, landscape, atmosphere, and climate, before delving into the dining tables.

The music emulates this landscape with a simple leitmotif in a fifth interval, as a call and lure; with a metallic texture as if a kitchen instrument were making the music.

This constant melodic motif is accompanied by sound textures that open up to the landscape and close in on the intimacy of the dining room; creating a contrast of openings that gives identity to the visual.

To create this music, no specific time signature or BPM was used, as the desired effect was that of the rainy atmosphere enveloping the mountains where the grill is located. The landscape and place are the most important, and it is necessary to create an evocative atmosphere to the beauty and strength of nature.
