La chabola

“La chabola” is an art installation at Concéntrico Festival by Oficina Penadés that consists on a constructive system based on sellotape. The request was making the most comfortable sounds meant to dialogue with the quietness and serenity of the patio and engage the visitors to stay around.

My proposal was UNWINDING PAVILION, a 360º audio panning envelope around the pavilion, evoking the turns that the tape gives to unwind it in a 30 minutes piece of music.

The evolving sounds were made with synthesizers accompanied by recordings taken from different sellotapes, duct tape, and more kinds of adhesive tapes.

The complete 30 minute audio piece was made to be played in a loop in such a way that the visitor feels an infinite piece of sound.
