Christmas campaign

For Uno de 50’s Christmas campaign, the production company BadStudio created a concept of a dinner and Christmas party where a rock band celebrates and has fun, showcasing glamour, nonconformity, and elegance all at once. The video portrays young people flaunting and playing with their jewelry during the festive dinner. The sonic proposal needed to capture the essence of Christmas while incorporating a wild punk rock touch to convey the "be yourself" message promoted by the jewelry brand.

After studying the sonic elements that evoke the feeling of Christmas—such as jingle bells, organ, strings, tubular bells, and timpani as classic elements—combined with distorted guitars and simple, catchy riffs, the next step was to create a clear, repetitive leitmotif as the brand’s hook. This leitmotif appears and disappears throughout the party scene, performed by different instruments.

The actors in the commercial are members of a real rock band, which made it interesting to study their style of music to craft a musical approach that captured their garage rock spirit and essence.

During the music production, specific synchronization points were strategically designed to highlight the sparkle of the jewelry, subtly helping to enhance product recognition without being too obvious.

Ultimately, the goal was to create a cheeky and carefree sound that still embodies the elegance of an iconic jewelry brand. The video depicts a party where the music captures the essence of fun and friendship.
